This lot comprises a collection of approximately ten pieces of assorted metalware featuring a combination of wrought copper and cast copper alloys including brass and bronze. The group includes a hand-wrought copper kettle of European utilitarian design, featuring a curved brass handle, a turned wooden grip, and a matching copper lid. Also present is a cast metal pedestal oil lamp or diya of Indian design, featuring a lobed body and an ornate handle topped with a bird finial. Figurative items include a cast metal elephant with a raised trunk, a peacock with an open fanned tail, and a small figure of a seated man in traditional South Asian attire. Other decorative objects in the collection include a miniature cast openwork throne, a small rectangular vessel decorated with mask motifs, an ornate circular stand with detailed foliate scrollwork, and a stepped cast brass pedestal or weight.
