Lot 471: A Collection of Silver-Plated Tableware including Mappin and Webb
A collection of silver-plated tableware of varying styles and periods. The lot includes a circular tray or charger by Mappin and Webb, featuring a beaded rim and a polished finish. The underside is stamped with the following marks: MAPPIN & WEBB’S, PRINCE’S PLATE, RD 71003, and W 5 6. Also included is a cylindrical wine bottle coaster or cooler in the Art Deco style, featuring twin handles and a stepped geometric motif at the rim. The collection further comprises a rectangular twin-handled tray with an engraved foliate and scroll design to the centre, and an octagonal dish with twin handles, raised on four decorative feet.
