Lot 408: A Pair of Three-Arm Brass-Toned Pendant Light Fixtures with Tulip Glass Shades
A pair of three-arm pendant light fixtures featuring brass-toned metal frames. Each chandelier is designed with a central fluted column and three curved arms, supporting tulip-form glass shades with a marbled peach and cream colour slag glass effect. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the metalwork or glass components. One fixture retains a paper auction tag numbered 408. The style is typical of late 20th-century traditional domestic lighting, similar in form to designs often attributed to Lalique or Franco Luce.
Condition report:
The fixtures are in used condition and show a significant accumulation of dust and cobwebs. The metal surfaces exhibit signs of wear and oxidation consistent with age. One fixture is missing its ceiling rose. The glass shades appear to be free of major chips or cracks upon visual inspection. The electrical wiring is untested and of unknown age; in accordance with standard practice, these items must be inspected and rewired by a qualified electrician prior to installation and use. Sold as decorative items only.
