Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises an assortment of literary and historical volumes. The primary highlight is a limited edition facsimile of Francis Godwin’s The Man in the Moone: or a Discourse of a Voyage Thither by Domingo Gonsales, The Speedy Messenger. Published by Albion Press in 1968, this volume is a reproduction of the original 1638 edition printed in London by John Norton. The limitation statement confirms this edition is limited to 1500 copies. The book is bound in tan leather with five raised bands to the spine, gilt decoration, and a red leather title label. It is housed in a green cloth-covered slipcase.

Also included is a copy of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, published by Abbey Library. This volume is bound in grey cloth with gilt lettering and a decorative device on the spine.

Completing the collection is a multi-volume set relating to the Domesday Book for the county of Devonshire. This set consists of a large folio volume bound in maroon faux-leather with gilt lettering to the spine, and three hardcover volumes in white cloth bindings. The spines of the white volumes are titled Domesday Book Studies / Devonshire, Introduction & Translation / Folios & Maps / Devonshire, and Devonshire.
