Lot 284: A Modern Nine-Light Chrome and Ice Cube Glass Flush Mount Ceiling Fixture
This modern nine-light ceiling flush mount fixture consists of a square polished chrome-effect base plate supporting nine light points arranged in a three-by-three grid. The design features shades in the style of mid-century modern glacier glass, resembling the work of makers such as Peill and Putzler or Orrefors. Each light is encased in a chunky, heavy moulded clear glass shade with a textured surface designed to mimic the appearance of ice. The construction utilises polished metal and thick moulded glass. The fixture is currently fitted with G9 LED capsule bulbs. Markings on the metal collars of the bulb holders include the technical specifications MAX 20W G9 and 220-240V ~ 50Hz. No specific manufacturer marks were found on the exterior surfaces. It is recommended that this fixture be inspected and installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
