Lot 433: An Assortment of Vintage and Antique Staffordshire Ceramic Tableware including Myott Leaflet Pattern Plates
An assortment of vintage and antique ceramic tableware from notable Staffordshire potteries, primarily constructed from earthenware and ironstone. The collection features a trio of Myott dinner plates in the Leaflet pattern, decorated with transfer-printed yellow and orange floral sprays and scalloped rims, bearing the Myott Fine Ironstone backstamp to the reverse. Also featured is an oval J. & G. Meakin platter in an Imari style with orange, blue, and gilded floral transfer decoration, marked with the SOL sunburst logo to the underside. The lot contains a large circular Alfred Meakin Sunshine platter with a maroon-coloured border and gilded filigree, and a shallow Alfred Meakin bowl with a central floral sprig and scalloped rim. Additionally, there is an octagonal S. Hancock & Sons Coronaware serving bowl with a polychrome border of stylised blossoms and geometric motifs. Printed marks for J. & G. Meakin, Alfred Meakin, and Myott are present on the undersides of the respective pieces.
