Lot 445: A late 19th-century French style bevelled glass and brass jewellery casket
This lot features a decorative jewellery casket produced in the late 19th or early 20th century, following the French Palais Royal style. The item is constructed from five thick, bevelled glass panels secured within a brass frame. The frame exhibits a decorative crenellated or toothed edge detailing. The casket is mounted on four small, cast decorative feet and includes a hinged lid. The base appears to be a mirrored plate. The box currently contains a rough mineral specimen, resembling a quartz or calcite cluster. There are no visible maker’s marks or factory stamps.
