This lot comprises two pieces of Japanese porcelain dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The first item is a circular porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue, or sometsuke. The central scene depicts a traditional landscape featuring mountains, pine trees, and a small dwelling nestled among rocks beneath stylised clouds. The rim is decorated with a continuous Greek key meander border. The second item is a small circular lidded porcelain box, likely intended for incense or cosmetics. It is decorated in the Imari style with overglaze polychrome enamels in orange and red tones, complemented by dark blue foliage and gilded highlights. The lid features a central peony flower. No maker marks are visible on the base or underside of either piece.
