Lot 542: A Pair of Full and Unopened Wade Bell's Scotch Whisky Royal Commemorative Decanters
A pair of bell-shaped glazed ceramic whisky decanters produced for Bell’s Scotch Whisky, manufactured by Wade. The first decanter commemorates the birth of Princess Beatrice on 8th August 1988, featuring a white body with a blue and gold neck, decorated with a central heraldic crest and a blue ribbon inscribed Princess Beatrice. The second decanter commemorates the 60th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 21st April 1986, featuring a central circular transfer-printed portrait of the Queen within an ornate gilded border. Both decanters are finished with gilded highlights and include printed inscriptions identifying the respective royal events and dates. The original neck seals are present and marked with the Bell’s brand name.
