Lot 573: A Trio of Decorative Enamelled and Jewelled Trinket and Miniature Music Boxes
A trio of decorative trinket boxes, attributed to Ardleigh Elliott. The collection includes a cream-coloured box fashioned as a gift, featuring a large central bow encrusted with small clear crystals and silver-toned metal trim. Also present is a hexagonal box with a pale pink ground, decorated with floral and butterfly motifs and finished with gold-toned metal rims and a butterfly-shaped finial on the lid. The third item is a circular pink box featuring embossed butterfly designs accented with pink and clear crystals, topped with a jewelled lid knob. These pieces are characteristic of the porcelain collector editions produced for the Bradford Exchange and similar markets.
