A single Victorian hall chair constructed from oak in the Jacobean Revival style. The chair features characteristic barley-twist turned legs and back uprights, with the legs reinforced by a H-stretcher for stability. The backrest is intricately carved and pierced, showcasing acanthus leaf motifs and scrolling foliate designs. The solid oak seat is decorated with a central incised carving of a four-point foliate motif. The chair exhibits traditional woodworking techniques typical of the 19th-century revival period. No manufacturer’s marks or labels are present on the exterior of the piece.
