Lot 1143: A traditional upholstered armchair with rolled arms and geometric diamond pattern
An early 20th-century Jacobean Revival drop-leaf occasional table. The piece is constructed from solid oak featuring a prominent quartersawn grain and a dark-stained finish. The top consists of a central fixed panel with two semi-circular hinged drop leaves that form an oval shape when fully extended. The edges of the table top are decorated with a carved notched moulding. The base is supported by four barley-twist turned legs, which are joined by a rectangular lower stretcher shelf. No maker’s marks or manufacturer stamps are visible, but the table bears auction house identification including a white rectangular label printed with 1146 and a small pink circular sticker handwritten with 22.
