Lot 1144: An Assortment of Unfinished Wooden Slats
A George III style pedestal desk, likely a mid-to-late 20th-century reproduction, constructed from mahogany and mahogany-veneered timbers. The rectangular top features an inset maroon leather or leather-effect writing surface, embellished with a gold-tooled border. The desk follows a traditional nine-drawer configuration, comprising a single long central frieze drawer flanked by two shorter drawers, above two pedestals each housing three graduated drawers. All drawers are fitted with twin brass swan-neck handles on shaped backplates and integrated keyholes. The pedestals are raised on bracket feet. Standard wooden drawer linings are present. The black storage ottoman pictured in the kneehole is not included as part of this lot.
