Lot 27: An Assortment of Vintage Workshop and Masonry Tools including Record Bench Vice and Pipe Wrenches
This lot comprises a collection of vintage workshop and masonry hand tools, primarily of British manufacture, housed in a heavy-duty orange plastic storage bin. The primary item is a heavy-duty cast iron bench vice bearing the raised cast mark RECORD, which retains some of its original blue paint finish. The collection includes two Stillson-pattern pipe wrenches, with the larger example also finished in blue paint. The masonry tools consist of a variety of cold chisels including a large point chisel with a protective hand guard, a long square-section masonry chisel, and a wide flat bolster chisel. Also present are a steel-headed club hammer with a turned wooden handle, a small steel G-clamp, and a wooden-handled file or rasp. Included in the lot is a decorative cast iron novelty wall hook or bottle opener featuring a vertical row of three teddy bears finished in yellow paint, set above a green-painted hook or opener section.
