Lot 748: A Collection of Vintage Brooches and Pins including Micro-Mosaic and Millefiori Glass
This lot comprises three white glazed ceramic figurines, consisting of a swan with cygnets, a pair of sleeping kittens, and a reclining Laughing Buddha. The swan is naturalistically modelled with its neck curved and cygnets nestled within its plumage. The kitten figure depicts two animals curled together in a sleeping pose, resembling the Cat Nap design by Fitz and Floyd, although an accompanying handwritten note attributes two pieces in this lot to Royal Doulton. The third figure is a reclining Laughing Buddha (Hotei) shown with a traditional smiling expression and prominent stomach. A printed auction lot label for number 749 is attached to the kitten figurine.
