Lot 900: A Set of Approximately 70 Pieces of Poole Pottery Summer Glory Pattern Dinner and Tea Service
This dining suite is designed in the mid-century modern style, characteristic of British furniture production from the 1960s to the 1980s, in the style of manufacturers such as G-Plan or McIntosh. The lot includes a rectangular dining table and a set of matching chairs. The table is constructed with a rectangular top featuring a pronounced cathedral wood grain veneer, possibly ash or elm, supported by four square-tapering legs. The chairs are constructed with light-toned hardwood frames, featuring curved top back rails and upholstered seats and backs in a textured woven fabric with a neutral brown and beige chevron pattern. Construction details include visible metal screw heads and caps. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the pieces.
