Lot 117: Vintage industrial two-drawer metal index card filing cabinet
A vintage industrial two-drawer metal filing cabinet, of a form typically utilised for index card storage, in the style of Steelmaster. The unit is constructed from steel and finished in a worn black paint applied over an earlier red coat. Each drawer is fitted with a white-painted metal D-handle and a rectangular index label holder. The cabinet features standard metal construction with sliding drawer mechanisms. A small heart-shaped decorative sticker is applied to the front of the top drawer. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible, although a paper auction lot sticker is present on the side of the carcass.
