Lot 132: A Pair of Reconstituted Stone Pineapple Pattern Garden Urns
A pair of large reconstituted stone garden urns of bulbous form, decorated with a relief-moulded pineapple or artichoke scale pattern. Each urn is raised on a fluted pedestal base with a stepped circular foot. The interiors are hollowed with a single central drainage hole. The material is a light-coloured cast stone with a textured, pitted surface characteristic of the medium. A temporary white auction lot sticker marked 132 is present on the interior rim of one vessel. No permanent manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior, interior, or bases. These items are typical of late 20th-century British garden statuary.
