Lot 36: Vintage Cast Copper Alloy Signalling Bell with Wall Mounting Bracket
A heavy, cast copper-alloy bell, likely composed of bronze or brass, of the type traditionally used for maritime, railway, or industrial signalling. The bell is of flared form with a rounded shoulder and is suspended from a sturdy, arched cast-metal bracket designed for wall mounting. It retains an internal metal clapper. The entire surface exhibits a significant and authentic aged green verdigris patina, consistent with long-term exposure to an outdoor or marine environment. Faint cast characters are visible on the interior rim, but these are heavily worn and obscured by oxidation, rendering them illegible.
