Lot 53: An Assortment of Vintage Workshop Clamps including Record G-Clamps and Metal Storage Tray
A collection of vintage workshop clamps of various sizes and styles, including several examples by the British manufacturer Record. The lot is primarily comprised of G-clamps (C-clamps) with cast iron frames and threaded steel screw mechanisms. At least one large blue-painted clamp features the Record brand name cast into the frame, while others retain the manufacturer’s blue and silver diamond-shaped foil labels. One silver-finish clamp is cast with the marks MADE IN ENGLAND and STEEL. Another smaller red-painted clamp is cast with the designation 120 / 2. Also included is an F-style bar clamp featuring a steel rail and a turned wooden handle. The items are accompanied by a small vintage metal tin with a yellow and black lid printed with the instruction INSERT COIN IN GROOVE ON CORNER AND TWIST. The collection is housed in a rectangular brown metal storage tray with integral handles at each end.
