Lot 780: A Pair of Mid-Century Modern Modular Wooden Cabinets, dated 1962
A pair of matching modular mid-century modern cabinets, constructed with wood veneers in a medium-toned finish. Each one-piece unit features two drawers alongside a double-door cupboard compartment. The drawers and doors are fitted with integrated, rectangular wooden bar handles. The cupboard doors open to a plain wooden interior. The upper rear panel of the units features stamped characters 5, 1 on one line and 1962 on the line below, appearing twice and indicating a manufacture or batch date from 1962. The design is characteristic of modular furniture systems from the mid-20th century.
