Lot 859: Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk
A Victorian mahogany twin-pedestal writing desk. The piece is designed with a nine-drawer configuration, featuring three drawers across the frieze and three drawers within each pedestal. The pedestals are detailed with vertical reeded pilasters and are set upon plain plinth bases. The rectangular top features an inset leather writing surface. Each drawer is equipped with a pair of turned wooden knobs and a central keyhole. A modern white inventory sticker bearing the number 1080 is attached to the top drawer of the right-hand pedestal. There are no visible maker’s marks or stamps on the exterior or interior of the piece.
