Lot 879: A Collection of Vintage LEGO System Building Components in Original Box
A collection of vintage LEGO System plastic building components, dating from the 1960s. The lot is presented in its original illustrated flat box lid with a matching multi-compartment white cardboard storage tray. The assortment contains a significant volume of loose plastic building bricks and plates, predominantly in red, white, and grey colourways. Included are several larger grey baseplates, smaller white plates, and structural elements such as a blue frame. The box lid features period photographic illustrations of children and a vertical LEGO logo in a stylized font. This set is characteristic of the early System of Play and Basic Set ranges from the mid-twentieth century.
