Lot 80: A Pair of 3D Relief-Moulded Decorative Wall Plates Attributed to Turtle King Corp
This lot comprises two circular decorative wall plates featuring high-relief scenes of young girls in dance-themed settings, attributed to Turtle King Corp based on web consensus. The first plate depicts a young girl with blonde hair in a layered pink tutu, seated on a fringed rug near a lattice window adorned with yellow flowers. The second plate shows a girl in a blue-grey ruffled outfit, seated on a rug and shown in the process of putting on ballet slippers, with a tennis racket, a sports bag, and a small stool in the background. Both plates are constructed from hand-painted relief-moulded composition material. They are finished with ornate, cream-coloured, pierced, and scalloped borders, accented with small applied orange floral motifs. No maker marks, factory stamps, or artist signatures are visible on the pieces.
