Lot 478: A collection of 20th-century decorative ceramics and miniature porcelain including Wedgwood, Coalport, and souvenir ware
This lot consists of a collection of approximately 15 pieces of 20th-century decorative ceramics and miniature porcelain. A primary piece is a Wedgwood bone china vase of bulbous form with a slender neck, decorated in the Hathaway Rose pattern and bearing the black Portland Vase backstamp. The collection also includes a miniature Coalport bone china item, marked with a blue crown backstamp and hand-painted 207 A. Souvenir ware features prominently, including a triangular pin dish with the Morecambe coat of arms, a miniature cream jug with a lighthouse scene, a coastal harbour scene saucer, and a ceramic aeroplane propeller ornament decorated with the Royal Air Force crest and the Ripley crest. Other decorative figurines and ornaments include a pair of sheep figurines with green shamrock motifs and hats, two miniature porcelain shoes with floral transfers, a Dutch-style clog with an applied blue flower, a floral-decorated bell, and two small flower-encrusted ornaments in the form of a basket and a pot. The lot also contains a small hatpin with a white spherical head.
