Lot 505: Beswick Cantering Shire Horse Figurine Model 975
A Beswick gloss-glazed ceramic figurine of a Shire horse in a cantering pose, model number 975. The horse is finished in a rich bay brown glaze with a dark brown mane and tail. It features a white blaze on the face and white feathered detailing on all four legs. The figurine is modeled with significant anatomical detail, showing muscular definition and a characteristic arched neck. There are no maker’s marks or factory stamps visible on the exterior of the figurine. A modern auction lot sticker for Lot 505 is attached to the near side flank.
