Lot 558: A Trio of Cut Lead Crystal Vases and a Bowl
This lot consists of three pieces of cut lead crystal comprising two flared vases and a circular bowl. The largest piece is a vase featuring a flared, scalloped rim and intaglio-cut decoration depicting sunflower or daisy motifs, ears of wheat, and foliage sprays. It is supported by a short faceted stem on a circular foot with a radial starburst-cut base. The smaller flared vase features a scalloped rim and a traditional cutting pattern of vertical flutes and cross-hatched diamond panels, terminating in a radial star-cut base. The circular bowl is decorated with a repeating geometric diamond and hobnail pattern to the exterior and a starburst-cut underside. Each piece exhibits high clarity and sharp, crisp edges. A white paper label with the handwritten blue numeral 13 is present on the base of the bowl.
