Lot 74: Two Vintage Hand-Painted Event Signs Relating to 2nd St Cleer Brownies and Butterfly Ball
A lot consisting of two vintage hand-painted rectangular signs on hardboard or wooden panels, associated with the village of St Cleer in Cornwall. The first sign features the words Butterfly Ball rendered in a red decorative calligraphic script. The text is positioned between two large hand-painted butterfly motifs illustrated in green, yellow, and red. The second sign is finished in white paint with black lettering that reads 2nd St Cleer BROWNIES in a combination of serif and block fonts. This sign also displays the official Girl Guides trefoil emblem in the centre, which contains the letters G G. Both signs are constructed with pre-drilled holes at the corners for mounting purposes. These items represent local interest ephemera from the late 20th century.
