A pair of rectangular black-painted wooden transit chests, numbered 12 and 13, featuring white stencilled provenance for Commander W. B. Smith RN of Drayton, Portsmouth. The chests are constructed of wood with hinged lids and traditional nautical rope handles at either end. Chest 12 contains an assortment of vintage recreational diving equipment, including two pairs of black rubber fins, a wooden-handled landing net, red fabric storage bags, and components of a spear gun or pole spear. Chest 13 contains a collection of vintage fishing tackle, with the interior lid featuring wooden racks for fishing rod sections. Contents include split-cane and wooden rod sections, three vintage fishing reels including wide-drum sea reels, spools of fishing line, a SEA-VUE accessory tin, various jars, tackle boxes, and a small hand net.
