Lot 876: A mid-20th-century woven fibre linen chest
A mid-20th-century woven fibre linen chest or blanket box of rectangular form. The exterior body features a traditional woven texture finished in a pale grey paint. The hinged lid is padded and upholstered in a contemporary silver-grey crushed velvet fabric. The interior of the chest has been refurbished with a metallic gold-coloured paint. The lid is secured by two metal butt hinges and opens to a white-finished underside. A handwritten paper label stating Loom Box is affixed to the front, and a lot number sticker is present on the lid.
