Lot 945: A Jacobethan Revival Carved Oak Sideboard
A Jacobethan Revival style oak sideboard of solid construction with a dark-stained finish. The piece features a central bank of three drawers flanked by two cupboard doors. Each cupboard is decorated with a prominent carved lozenge panel featuring a central floral motif. The vertical stiles are further embellished with fluted reeding and circular floral bosses. The sideboard is fitted with ornate brass hardware, including butterfly-style strap hinges and brass drop-handle pulls on embossed backplates. The rectangular top surface has a moulded edge with a carved dentil frieze below. The unit stands on shaped bracket feet joined by a decoratively scalloped lower apron. A modern auction lot sticker with the numerals 1191 is present on the front rail.
