Lot 1031: Early 20th Century Open Oak Sectional Bookcase
An early 20th-century open oak bookcase section, likely of Edwardian or 1920s manufacture. The unit is constructed from solid oak and oak-faced plywood, featuring a prominent quartersawn grain. The interior is divided into four storage compartments by three fixed shelves set into rebates. The unfinished appearance of the upper and lower edges suggests that this piece was originally designed as a component of a modular or stacking sectional library system.
Length: 90cm – 100cm (approximate).
