Lot 542: An Assortment of Clear Cut and Pressed Domestic Glassware
This collection of clear glassware includes a variety of decorative and utility pieces. The group features two nested serving bowls with an exterior pattern of horizontal rings. The decorative tableware comprises a circular charger with a central starburst and diamond-cut border, a saucer with a radial fan motif, and a small footed bowl with a star-cut base. The lot also includes a matching cream jug and open sugar bowl set, both decorated with a geometric diamond pattern. A lidded preserve jar completes the collection, featuring a faceted body and a lid with a vertical metallic-finished finial. The items show a range of glass-making techniques, with some pieces exhibiting sharp cut facets and others pressed glass imitating cut patterns. No etched maker’s marks are visible.
