Lot 555: A Collection of Four Victorian and Edwardian Table-Top Oil Lamps
A collection of four table-top oil lamps dating from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. Three lamps are constructed with polished brass reservoirs and pedestal bases. One brass lamp is complete with a white milk-glass spherical shade and a clear glass chimney, while the remaining two are accompanied by clear glass chimneys, one of which is currently missing. The fourth lamp features a reservoir finished in green paint, supported by a decorative pierced cast-metal base. All examples retain their original mechanical wick burners. One lamp reservoir carries a white adhesive lot tag with the handwritten characters 13, A4, and -355.
