Lot 656: Large Leaded Stained Glass Domed Lampshade with Grape and Vine Decoration
A large domed leaded glass lampshade of vertical-sided form. The piece is constructed from translucent glass panels, with the main body consisting of cream-coloured segments in an irregular geometric mosaic arrangement. A wide decorative band encircles the lower section, featuring a motif of dark purple grape clusters and mottled green leaves, set between narrow horizontal bands of dark reddish-brown glass. The segments are secured by lead cames. The shade is capped with a metal aperture rim for attachment to a light fixture. A paper auction lot label is adhered to the top metal rim.
