Lot 766: A Collection of Vintage 35mm SLR, Roll Film, and Cine Cameras with Photographic Laboratory Equipment
This lot comprises an assortment of mid-20th-century photographic equipment, including various camera formats and associated darkroom apparatus. The collection includes a Zenit 35mm single-lens reflex camera, manufactured in the USSR, featuring a silver and black metal body with the prism housing marked ZENIT. It is fitted with a large black telephoto lens with a rim partially marked PEN and is accompanied by a brown leather ever-ready case. Also included is a Kodak Brownie 127 roll film camera with a black moulded Bakelite body and a silver-toned faceplate marked KODAK BROWNIE 127 CAMERA. A Kodak Six-20 Brownie Model D box camera is present, featuring a black textured metal body and a decorative front panel marked SIX-20 ‘BROWNIE’ D. The lot further contains another Kodak Brownie box camera with a red Kodak logo and script lettering, as well as a miniature black box-style camera or viewer featuring a brass-finished flip lever. Motion picture equipment is represented by a Chinon 311 Super 8 cine camera, marked CHINON 311, featuring a pistol-grip handle and zoom lens. Completing the lot is a large black electrical unit, likely a darkroom timer or enlarger transformer, fitted with a central grey control dial, three toggle switches, and a red indicator light. Additional brown leather and composite cases are included.
