Lot 907: Early 20th Century Oak Bureau
An early 20th-century bureau constructed from dark-stained solid oak. The slant-front fall opens to reveal a fitted interior containing four small drawers with turned wooden knobs and two central open pigeonholes. The fall-front is supported by two pull-out lopers. The lower chest section features two short drawers above two long, graduated drawers, all fitted with matching turned wooden knobs. The piece is raised on bracket feet and includes a metal lock and escutcheon to the fall-front. Medullary rays characteristic of oak are visible on the exterior and interior surfaces.
