Lot 943: A 20th Century English Jacobean Revival Oak Barley Twist Sideboard
An English Jacobean Revival oak sideboard of rectangular form, dating to the early 20th century. The unit features a flat top with a moulded edge, positioned over two full-width frieze drawers. Each drawer is decorated with moulded border detailing and fitted with two metal drop handles on decorative circular backplates. The lower section consists of two cupboard doors flanking a central fixed stile. The cupboard doors are ornamented with a horizontal band of three carved lunette motifs. The central stile features a carved oval medallion. The piece is supported by two front barley-twist legs and straight rear legs, all joined by a four-point perimeter stretcher. The interior contains a single, full-width storage compartment.
