Lot 1027: A Gilt Framed Rectangular Wall Mirror
A rectangular wall mirror housed in an ornate composite frame with a gilt finish. The frame design incorporates a double-border arrangement, with the outer section featuring a repeating scrolled foliate and shell motif. The inner border is finished with a narrow, repeating beaded pattern. The mirror plate is clear and held in position by a plain wooden or fibreboard backing board, which is secured to the frame rebate using metal points. The reverse of the mirror is plain and functional.
