Lot 586: A Collection of Seven Pieces of Imperial Marigold Carnival Glass
A collection of seven pieces of marigold carnival glass, featuring several items in the Heavy Grape pattern produced by the Imperial Glass Company. The group is composed of a large three-footed master bowl with a deeply ruffled and scalloped rim featuring embossed clusters of grapes and vine leaves to the interior, alongside two matching individual grape pattern bowls. Also included in the collection is a small footed dish with a diamond-quilted exterior, a shallow bowl with interior radiating rays, a bowl with a faceted diamond-point exterior, and a small bowl with a floral and fruit motif. The items are made of press-moulded glass with a metallic iridescent marigold coating applied to the surface. No maker marks or signatures are visible to the pieces, and the bases are finished in the mould.
