Lot 587: A pair of marigold carnival glass ruffled bowls featuring Holly and Open Rose patterns
A pair of early 20th-century press-moulded carnival glass bowls with a marigold iridescent finish and ruffled rims. One bowl features the Fenton Art Glass Company Holly pattern, which displays a central medallion of holly leaves and berries bordered by a band of rectangular panels. The second bowl features the Imperial Glass Company Open Rose pattern, characterised by a central multi-petalled rose motif and surrounding foliage. Both bowls are constructed from clear glass with an applied metallic iridescent coating. The items feature smooth, moulded bases without pontil marks.
