Lot 593: Royal Worcester Limited Edition Fine Bone China Figurine The Last Waltz
A Royal Worcester fine bone china figurine entitled The Last Waltz, from a collection inspired by the Victorian era. The figurine depicts a standing female figure dressed in a white Victorian-style evening gown with tiered, ruffled skirts. The porcelain is decorated with hand-painted sprigs of small purple flowers and accented with gold-toned borders along the ruffles and neckline. The figure holds a matching open fan in her right hand and wears a floral corsage. Her hair is styled in a bun secured with a white ribbon. The underside of the base features the Royal Worcester circular crest with a crown and four Ws surrounding the number 51, and is marked Made in England. The base also bears the script title The Last Waltz and identifies the piece as a numbered limited edition, 6,968 of 12,500. It is inscribed Sculpted by N. Stevens and features the CW monogram for Compton and Woodhouse Ltd, dated 1991. A small blue handwritten decorator mark is present near the base rim.
