Lot 594: A Pair of Moroccan Safi Pottery Ceramic Vessels
A pair of glazed earthenware items originating from the Safi region of Morocco, consisting of a bulbous vase and a shallow circular bowl. Both pieces are decorated in a traditional style featuring a vibrant turquoise blue ground with hand-painted black outlines. The bowl interior displays a central four-pointed geometric motif with foliate terminals and dotted blue detailing. The vase is decorated with tiered horizontal bands containing stylized floral and foliate motifs in maroon, yellow, and turquoise, interspersed with bands of wavy lines and lattice patterns. Each piece bears a white rectangular auction label for HCP Auctions South West, Lot 594.
