Lot 626: A Pair of Victorian Style Blue Opalescent Jack-in-the-Pulpit Glass Vases
A pair of Victorian-style jack-in-the-pulpit art glass vases. Each vase is constructed with a tall, slender stem featuring a spiral-moulded pattern in translucent turquoise-blue glass. The neck flares into a wide, deeply crimped and ruffled rim with a white opalescent edge. Each piece is supported by an applied, multi-lobed foot made of dark blue and clear glass. The items exhibit hand-blown characteristics, including hand-crimping at the rim and a hand-applied base. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible.
Dimensions: approximately 20cm to 30cm in height.
