Lot 675: Natural Purple Acorn Barnacle Cluster
A natural specimen consisting of a cluster of acorn barnacles, identified as the genus Megabalanus. The cluster is composed of several individual barnacle shells fused together, showing distinctive raised vertical ribbing and natural colouration in shades of purple, pink, cream, and white. Each barnacle shell features a large central aperture. This specimen is accompanied by a handwritten note stating it is for use in aquariums, fish tanks, and as air plant holders in the home, marked with the number 2818. An attached auction tag from HCP Auctions South West identifies the item as Lot 675.
