Lot 715: A Collection of Japanese Export Porcelain Items
A collection of Japanese export porcelain comprising a figurine and several small cups. The figurine depicts a kneeling female figure in a traditional kimono, decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral sprays in pink, orange, and blue, with gilded accents to the headpiece and garment. The base of the figurine is recessed and white-glazed with a circular firing hole. The cups include examples with stippled pink and dark green exterior patterns, both featuring gilded borders and rims. The interiors of the cups are white-glazed. No maker’s marks, signatures, or characters are visible on any of the pieces.
