Lot 725: A Trio of Victorian Style Transfer Printed Earthenware Bathroom Ceramics
A trio of earthenware bathroom ceramics including a large wash basin, a water jug, and a small cylindrical pot. The jug is of tapering form with a flared spout and loop handle, featuring a transfer-printed equestrian scene of fox hunters in traditional red coats within a landscape. The body is finished with a colour-gradient ground transitioning from light blue at the rim to a cream and yellow centre. The basin and small pot are decorated with purple floral transfer-printed sprays on a tinted cream and yellow ground. The small pot bears a hand-painted blue mark to the base reading 1-2. The items carry white adhesive labels marked 46671 and Lot 725 from HCP Auctions South West.
