Lot 930: Hans Frydendal Christian IV Danish Pine Bench or Bookcase
A solid knotty pine open storage unit or bench, identified as the Christian IV design by Hans Frydendal for Ide Furniture, Denmark, dating to the 1970s. The piece is constructed with a thick-planked outer frame and a single fixed central vertical partition, creating two equal compartments. The back is finished with vertical tongue-and-groove pine slats. The timber displays natural character through prominent knotting and varied grain patterns throughout. No maker’s marks are present; a small rectangular blue and white adhesive inventory label printed with the characters 930 is located on the top surface.
