Lot 182: A Vintage Lledo Die-cast Promotional RNLI Delivery Van
A vintage Lledo die-cast promotional RNLI delivery van, modelled on an early 20th-century Ford Model T. The vehicle features a dark blue die-cast metal body mounted on a white plastic chassis with integrated mudguards. The van is fitted with a cream-coloured plastic roof and features gold-tone plastic accents including the radiator grille, headlights, and spoked wheels. The side panels are decorated with the red and white flag logo of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, accompanied by the text ‘ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTITUTION’ in white lettering. The underside of the chassis is marked with a black plastic base plate bearing the raised text ‘PROMOTIONAL BY LLEDO LEICESTER LE3 2WZ’. The toy is housed in its original blue branded window box, which displays the RNLI Lifeboats logo and the text ‘DIE-CAST MODEL MADE BY LLEDO COLLECTIBLES’. A white rectangular adhesive label from HCP Auctions South West is affixed to the box window, reading ‘Lot 182’ and ‘www.hcpauctions.net’.
