Lot 238: A Vintage Corgi Classics Die-Cast Ford Thames Trader Elliptical Tanker
A vintage Corgi Classics die-cast Ford Thames Trader elliptical tanker, finished in the blue and orange Gulf Oil (Great Britain) Ltd livery. The model features a blue-painted cab and chassis supporting an orange tank accented with a blue longitudinal stripe bearing the white Gulf logo. The cab doors are detailed with printed text reading Gulf Oil (Gt. Britain) Ltd. 68, and the vehicle is fitted with black rubber tyres, including a spare mounted to the underside. The front bumper displays the registration RKG 357. The blue chassis base is embossed with the manufacturer name CORGI in a stylized logo and the model name FORD THAMES TRADER. The item is housed in its original pictorial cardboard box, which is marked Made in China and identifies the model number as 30401.
